چکیده

Abstract. This work investigates the radial deformation of conductive magneto-hyperelastic solid cylinder subject to azimuthal magnetic field. It shows effect current density on solid. A simple magnetoelastic energy function is proposed for under consideration such that its purely elastic part corresponds strain well-known semilienar hyperelastic materials. The consequent magnetoelasticity field equations, in conjunction with accompanying boundary conditions, are specialized application problem cylinder. obtained constitutive model stress distribution solids sensitive induction while associated at point within deformation-dependent. Furthermore, it revealed produced by steady increases along radius. Finally, and among other things, graphical illustration axial magnitude displacement points significantly pronounced.

Inverse Lagrangian Formulation for the Deformation of Hyperelastic Solids

Although the field equations of solid mechanics are commonly written in the undeformed configuration, neither fundamental theories nor mathematics prohibits the analysis from being carried out in a deformed configuration. In this letter, following recent developments in inverse deformation problems, the governing equations for static hyperelasticity problems are formulated in the current config...

The plastic response of magnetoelastic amorphous solids

We address the cross-effects between mechanical strains and magnetic fields on the plastic response of magnetoelastic amorphous solids. It is well known that plasticity in nonmagnetic amorphous solids under external strain γ is dominated by the codimension-1 saddle-node bifurcation in which an eigenvalue of the Hessian matrix vanishes at γP like √ γP − γ. This squareroot singularity determines ...

Onset of Cavitation in Compressible, Isotropic, Hyperelastic Solids

In this work, we derive a closed-form criterion for the onset of cavitation in compressible, isotropic, hyperelastic solids subjected to non-symmetric loading conditions. The criterion is based on the solution of a boundary value problem where a hyperelastic solid, which is infinite in extent and contains a single vacuous inhomogeneity, is subjected to uniform displacement boundary conditions. ...

Microstructure-based hyperelastic models for closed-cell solids

For cellular bodies involving large elastic deformations, mesoscopic continuum models that take into account the interplay between the geometry and the microstructural responses of the constituents are developed, analysed and compared with finite-element simulations of cellular structures with different architecture. For these models, constitutive restrictions for the physical plausibility of t...
